Develop your skills as an actor                 &       Have fun!

Rules & Regulations:

Discipline is an essential condition for exciting acting. That demand also holds true for this class.

Attendance is mandatory & will be taken at the beginning of the session. Any student who skips more than three periods will unfortunately be barred from the class.

This is a practical, not a theoretical, class; therefore, it is vital that you arrive on time. We only have 45 minutes every session and a lot to cover.

You will not be allowed to leave the class for any reason. If you need to go to the bathroom, do so before you come in.

Theatre is a lot of fun, but it is also a lot of work. If you have selected this activity because you think you won’t do anything, you are wrong.

Theatre is teamwork. You are responsible not only for yourself, but also for your classmates. There might be times when you will have to meet with a partner outside of class time and work together. This will be done on your time and is your responsibility.

Mockery will not be accepted or tolerated.

Prepare to look and feel very silly a lot of the time. If you have a problem with that, if you feel like an “adult” now and child-like behavior is not your thing, please select another activity. A big part of actor exploration is letting go of our inhibitions and our ego.

At the end of the school year, there will be a full scale production. As a member of this class, you are expected to attend auditions, if any, and accept any role you are cast in. The play will be rehearsing after school and you might have to be at every rehearsal. This is a commitment you make by choosing this activity.

If you would like to enroll in this class, please sign your name on the line below.

By signing, you are proving that you have read the rules & regulations and agree to abide by them.

Theatre Activity for High School

The theatre activity is designed to develop your creative abilities and talents in acting. During the course of the year, we will be exploring the basic elements of acting as well as developing the main skills you need as an actor; focus, memory, creativity...etc.

We will be playing theatre games, creating characters, performing scripted and un-scripted scenes as well as doing improvisations.

Also, please note that the activity will be much more exciting than this piece of paper!
